McHENRY ROTARIANS LEARN ABOUT THE FOX WATERWAY

Joseph Keller, the new Executive Director for the Fox Waterway Agency, was the guest speaker at the noon Rotary meeting, Thursday, March 31st, at the McHenry VFW Lodge.  His agency, located at 45 South Pistakee Lake Road in Fox Lake, has the responsibility for over seeing the Fox river and keeping the silt from building in its bed.  He noted that this silt, once treated, is excellent soil for gardening.  The current primary mission is to upgrade much of the aging equipment of the agency.   He was introduced   by club member, Phil Bartmann, who also volunteers with the Agency.
