McHenry Middle School Principal Michael Glover writes: “This school year we are welcoming Rachel’s Challenge to bring a focus on kindness at our school and of course “Being Nice” to each other.”
On September 14, 2017, the Rotary Club of McHenry Charitable Foundation, Inc. presented a check at the McHenry Middle School (Grades 6-8) in support of the McHenry School District 15’s Rachel’s Challenge – Promoting Acts of Kindness program. This program has been designed to address and reduce instances of “bullying”. The program seeks to empower students and staff to initiate a chain reaction of kindness and compassion, as well as encourage students to deliberately reach out to others with kindness”. The McHenry Middle School’s program seeks to address both in-person as well as “cyber” bullying. For more details regarding this program and the school’s bullying policy, click here .
